Well, our in-laws from Japan arrived for their daughter's, or our daughter-in-law's, wedding with our son, Wei.  Although we use Japanese goods all the time, we did not get to meet Japanese face in face, except for our American-educated daughter-in-law Maki.  Then her parents arrived, and no sooner had we exchanged a few bows, and a few greetings via interpretion by Maki, then Maki's dad and mom both kneeled down on the floor and bowed their head almost to the floor.  We instantly followed suit, and were deeply touched when Maki interpreted and said that her parents were thanking us for taking their daughter in, and for being kind to her.
