On
this page are pictures showing off our garden. The previous
home owners took very good care of the garden and left a great
many tulips for us to view every April. After we bought the
house in 1993, one of our American friends heard about our fancy
for chimonanthus, or Lamei in Chinese. She ordered
one for us, which has grown into a big tree and blooms every
spring when it is most cold and there are very few flowers around.
We also planted two cherry trees, and they give us plenty of
cherry fruits every July. This year, we planted an Asian persimmon
to celebrate the birth of our grandson Kevin. When he is three
years old, he will be able to taste it, and see the tree continue
to grow, just like himself.
