Kevin
has just come back from a
trip with his parents to Taiwan, Hongkong, and mainland China.
He remembers the faces and things he left two months ago, but
would sometimes address his grandma as "A-Po" (Chinese
for maternal grandma), not "Nainai" (Chinese for paternal
grandma). His A-Po in Taiwan loves him so much that Kevin
turns to her in times of need. On one occasion, Kevin fell
to the floor, and refused help from others. He shuffled
a little bit until he was close at his A-Po's feet for her hand.
When I came in from outside amid the rain, he at once went and
fetched a towel for me to wipe my forehead. When we were
ready to go out, he would hold his grandma's hand with one hand,
and reached out his other hand for me. What a wonderful
grandson!
