跑步机 treadmill

After moving to West Salem, I lost the quiet neighborhood I used to live. Hong bought an exercise bike for me last September, but exercise bikes are too gental on my legs. So I ventured out on our streets here (hence the pictures on this page) again. Walking out is nice in that I can see beautiful flowers, and can really exercise my legs. But it does have one drawback--I have to consistently watch out for cars that might be backing out of driveways.

Today (May 7), I saw on Nextdoor a treadmill to give away. When I contacted the owner, she even kindly inquires whether I need help in picking it up. So very kind！ the very image of America that I know and love!

搬来 West Salem 以后，我失去了原来走路的人少车少的幽雅街道。去年九月儿子给我买了一台锻炼自行车，但它不累脚，没有真正走路的力度。所以我又到外面街道走路了(见本页照片）。外面走路可以看风景，可以练脚力，但要时刻提防汽车--特别是在人行道遇到人家倒车。

今天，在Nextdoor (邻里互动）网站上，看到有人有跑步机要送人。这种跑步机新的上千，旧的300左右。但这户人家不仅免费送人，还问我是否需要帮助运送。好人啊！这正是我们了解和喜爱的美国。
